 Relevance of Good Education

Relevance of Good EducationIt has become a tradition worldwide that acquiring knowledge is best learned inside school premises. Parents send their children to school so they can learn what they are ought to. Education is a learning process step by step. We start at the fundamentals and gradually step up the ladder 1 step higher each year. Even adults continue to study their fields of interests. Education is necessary. It is imposed and is of utmost importance for anybody’s future security. It has become not only a trend but an indispensable means to get by in the real world. Education brings various challenges to us. While we grow at our own pace, we learn with the paces of others. We can’t begin with education by ourselves. There are always people ahead of us who are the ones responsible to teach us. Later in life we’ll be the ones teaching the generation down below. Come to think of it, life is not the only cycle in this world for education is one too. We cannot keep for ourselves what we have learned for we are always bound to share it in the circumstances and phases of our daily lives. Meeting each facet of the day and executing our activities is credited on the education we did for ourselves. If we have missed the opportunity to gain good education we will also miss good chances to make life easier for us. But education is not restricted to the four walls of a classroom, we can gain education anywhere we are. As we read, we gain knowledge of something, thereby educating ourselves in a short while. As we watch TV we gain insights and ideas thus educating ourselves in the passage of time.

Moreover, in the real world, good education has great impact on independence. The essentials of independence is directly parallel to money. We cannot gain independence if we have the lack of it. Rather, we earn it from the work we do and the activities that run our lives. Unfortunately, these are something we cannot get around with naturally. We need to sharpen and practice our skills, talents and abilities, and the basic means to do so is through proper education. Real value goes beyond getting the most out of the present for it lies in the future. We need to cultivate our minds so we can look forward and act on our aspirations.

About

Education is any process, formal or informal, by which an individual is encouraged to fully develop his potential. It also provides an individual with the necessary knowledge, skills and character to be a productive member of society. The term 'education' is often used to mean formal education. Formal education is a conscious effort by human society to pass on skills and information considered vital for socialisation. Learning that takes place in schools or school-like environment is a form of formal education. In developing cultures, there is often little formal education. Children learn from their environment and the adults around them serve as teachers. In more developed societies, an efficient means of transmission of values and accumulated knowledge - the school and teacher - becomes necessary. Informal education, on the other hand, results from the constant effect of environment and its power to shape values and habits. Individuals acquire informal education from the world-at-large - families, peers, books, media and others. In a broad sense, the term 'education' covers formal learning, value-building and day-to-day experiences. Simply put, all that an individual experiences is a form of education.
